Hildy Neumann is the founder and principal of Organizing Strategies based in Newton, MA. She has been providing organizing services for home and home office to clients in Boston and the suburban area since 2003.
Professional Experience
I have worked as a professional organizer since 2003.
Prior to that, I spent 10+ years in information technology (IT) management consulting, providing significant experience with consulting approaches and techniques, problem analysis and solving, and strategy development.
I also have 10+ years experience in technology marketing support with one of the world's largest computer companies, providing a strong foundation in business and management techniques, technology, project planning, and working on teams.
Professional Affiliations
I have been a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) since 2003. I am a member of NAPO's Golden Circle, a prestigious designation signifying an elevated level of experience in the organizing industry.
I have also been an active member of NAPO-New England since 2003 and have served in a variety of volunteer capacities for the organization. I am NAPO-New England's coordinator for Quantum Leap, a community service program that provides free organizational skills training to people in life transitions who cannot afford but critically need professional guidance. NAPO-New England's Quantum Leap program involves teaching classes on time management and paper management to students in the Women @ Work program at St. Mary's Women and Children's Center in Dorchester MA.
I am also a member of ICD, the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, and am working toward attaining their foundation certificate in Chronic Disorganization.
Skills and Interests
I am an avid bike rider and regularly participate in long distance fundraising rides. Training for these events has reinforced my belief in the importance of setting goals, establishing interim objectives, and persisting until goals are achieved.
I also manage a home and an active family of four, contributing to my appreciation for and reliance on time management and home organization systems.
And, most importantly, I have a passion for organizing.
